Our History
1999
Adams International Technologies Is Founded
Adams International Technologies, LLC was founded by Michael Adams. Before starting the company, Michael spent more than 20 years with Astechnologies, where he held multiple roles across equipment manufacturing and sales. That experience gave him the foundation to build a company focused on dependable equipment, strong partnerships, and long-term customer relationships.
2002
First Facility and Manufacturing Partnerships
Adams International opened its first 13,000-square-foot warehouse in Ball Ground, Georgia.
During this period, Michael established manufacturing partnerships with Transmatic in Italy for heat press and calendar press equipment, and Konsan in Türkiye for fusing, laminating, and fabric inspection equipment. Those partnerships remain an important part of AIT’s equipment offering today.
2005
Advanced Innovative Technologies Is Established
Michael sold the company to Advanced Innovative Technologies, LLC, now known as AIT, and opened an additional 10,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.
AIT also began manufacturing its own material handling products and distributing them globally. Products such as the Model 125 unwind rack and the Z-series garment racks quickly became popular throughout textile manufacturing operations.
2006
Expansion into SEG Display Systems
Michael partnered with CCS digital out of Germany and became a manufacturer and distributor of custom SEG systems. AIT has a full printing and finishing facility as well as a custom aluminum frame manufacturing department. Which allowed them to be a part of developing the grand format and fabric graphic industry in the United States.

Preparing the Next Generation
As Michael began planning for retirement, he wanted the company he had built to remain in the family.
His son, Jon Adams, joined AIT after more than 23 years in the restaurant industry. Jon’s experience included roles as Executive Chef, Managing Partner, Multi-Unit Owner, and oversight of operations with more than $25 million in annual sales.
Transitioning into a new industry was a major commitment for both Michael and Jon, but it marked the beginning of AIT’s next chapter.
The Third Generation Joins AIT
Michael stepped away from AIT’s daily operations while continuing to serve on the company’s board.
Jon purchased AIT and began leading the company into the future. The transition included learning a new industry and rebuilding the sales organization after several longtime team members retired.
Jon’s oldest son, Austin, joined AIT after completing his service in the United States Air Force and earning a degree in marketing. Jon’s younger son, Cade, joined AIT after earning his business management degree from Georgia Southern University.
AIT continues to operate as a family-led company built on decades of equipment experience, trusted manufacturing partnerships, American manufacturing capabilities, and long-standing client relationships.
With three generations now involved, AIT is focused on protecting the foundation Michael established while continuing to improve its equipment, material handling products, SEG display systems, service capabilities, and client experience.

Principal Owner
Jon leads AIT’s operations and growth while overseeing equipment and SEG display sales. He guides the company’s strategy and continued development.
Austin Adams
Director of Operations
Austin overseas day-to-day operations including the SEG displays, material handling, and the equipment service department.
Cade Adams
Business Development Manager
Cade supports AIT’s growth through business development, client relationship management, sales and marketing initiatives, and the implementation of new technologies and systems.
Karen Jones Tart
Director of Accounting & HR
Karen leads accounting and human resources, ensuring financial stability and comprehensive team support.
Linette Sullivan
Customer Sales & Service Manager
Linette manages customer sales and services, providing expert guidance on equipment parts and material handling systems
Zach Hoopes
Production Manager
Zach oversees production excellence, ensuring AIT material handling systems meets the company's fabrication standards.
Michael Adams
Founder
Michael Adams founded Adams International Technologies, Inc. in August 2002 after serving as Director of Sales for the Equipment Group at Astechnologies and holding various sales and manufacturing positions with the company for more than 20 years.
In January 2005, Adams International Technologies was acquired by Advanced Innovative Technologies, LLC (AIT). Michael served as CEO of AIT until his retirement.
